America's top influencers talk being independent
Reaching Millions of Americans, Outside Politics
Sharing the independent message with millions of Americans with two of America’s leading influencers.
Lura Forcum, February 6.

We go to you, the independent voter
When asked by a reporter why he robbed banks, notorious criminal Willie Sutton replied, “because that’s where the money is.”
Politics isn’t quite as simple as bank robbery, but Willie still has a point. It’s important to go to the source, and that’s what the Independent Center does.
We go where you are, and increasingly, Americans are engaging on podcasts, apps, and social media. Nearly half of all Americans tuned into a podcast in the past month.
That’s why I was so excited by the recent opportunity to sit down with two incredible partners, Ryan Alford and Natasha Graziano, to talk about the Independent Center movement and how their audiences can get involved.
Talking with America’s Top Influencers
If you follow our social media, you know Ryan has been partnering with the Independent Center for a while now. One of the most interesting projects has been his interviews with everyday Americans about what the American Dream means today. We delved deep and explored the American Dream from our October 2024 poll.
I caught up with Ryan, host of the #1 Business & Marketing Apple podcast in the U.S. He is truly an entrepreneurial thinker. He’s worked with leading entrepreneurs like Grant Cardone, Jesse Palmer, Ben Higgins and Marc Randolph. His guest list is a who’s who of America’s bold new business and thought leaders.
Ryan’s tagline is, “the voice of the silent majority,” which certainly caught our attention. Is there a better description for independent voters?
Ryan and I discussed the evolution of the American Dream and how to navigate our hyperpolarized political world. You can listen on Spotify or Ryan’s website.
Chasing my goal to reach millions more Americans, I spoke with America’s #1 female motivational speaker under 40, Natasha Graziano, on her Law of Attraction podcast.
Natasha is a social media maven, with 15 million followers across her social media channels and over 1 billion views. She is a best selling author, motivational speaker - including TedX - and has shared the stage with some of the biggest names including Gary Vee, Tai Lopez, Grant Cardone, Tony Robbins, and Mark Cuban.
Her enormous online following speaks to how much people appreciate her energy and passion for self-discovery and growth. Natasha and I talked about how important it is to know who you are and then have the ability to live your values and priorities. You can listen here on Spotify or watch on YouTube, or catch up with her latest on her website.
Encouraging more Americans to engage with and care about politics and policy — our nation’s future — is critical to us at the Independent Center.
If you have a podcast and want to talk, I’d love an invite!
What do you think?
Another way the Independent Center reaches people where they are is through our polling. We released the third installment of our nationwide survey, this time comparing Democrat and independent voters.
Democrats, like Republicans and independents, want Trump and Republicans in Congress to collaborate and build bipartisan consensus. Perhaps even more surprising:
Both Democrats and independents agree that for Trump to be successful, he must significantly or somewhat reduce the federal debt and deficit.
40 percent of Democrats and 42 percent of independents seek a “significant” reduction
34 percent of Democrats and 35 percent of independents want “somewhat” of a reduction.
In other words, debt and deficit are no longer Republican or right-wing issues!
We’ve discovered significant overlap between Democrats and independents. If Trump and the Republicans are serious about leading the U.S. away from the looming fiscal cliff, they have willing partners at the table.
Media Interviews
A final thought—we occasionally hear from reporters who would like to interview independents.
If you’d like to be included on our contact list, let us know. We’ll use this list to notify you about media opportunities, but we won’t share your information without your permission.

State of the Union Part 3: Independent vs Democrat voters
The Independent Center is the go-to organization for information, research, and engagement with independent voters, who now make up the majority of the electorate.
We represent those who are fed up with partisan politics and feel politically homeless. We believe the future is not red or blue; it’s fiscally responsible, socially inclusive, and free to choose the best options for ourselves, our families, and our communities.
