Exclusive Poll: We Can Do Better!

Our latest poll “We Can Do Better” was fielded during the recent GOP convention. Our findings were clear: neither party can govern for all Americans. Download the toplines for more insights on voter sentiment.

Plus as the campaigns heat up we dived into the issue of political violence to see who Americans think are to blame and how this is affecting our nation.

Our special section on We Can Do Better is a response to the negativity and disenfranchised feelings many have about the state of our country and our political leaders. The good news - there is hope! Overwhelming registered voters are aligned on the goals to do better across every issues we polled. This is a great place to start as we look forward to engaging with all of you on how and what we do to live up to the promise of our nation.

And something near and dear to many independent voters - electoral reform! Check out our polling on how registered voters feel about majority voting and rank choice approaches.

I Declare Independence

American Stories of Partisan Fatigue

We're launching a new series of interviews with our members called "I Declare Independence" to highlight the stories of Americans who are frustrated with the intense polarization of America's two-party political system.

The goal is to demonstrate that not all Americans are entrenched on the extreme left or right. In fact, most of us fall somewhere in the middle, desiring more balance and less divisiveness in our nation's political climate.

We invite you to reach out to us at [email protected] so we can set up a short interview to hear your personal story.

Your accounts will give voice to the many Americans longing for a more unified, centrist and common sense approach to addressing the challenges we face as a nation.

At Independent Center, our goal is to advocate for the majority of Americans who identify as independent voters, promoting centrist solutions and fostering collaboration across the political aisle.
